My favourite Pukebomb animation so far! There is a nice scary mood in the first part which makes the sudden tone shift very funny. I also liked the moving background effect when he's breathing after he smashes the book down, and I enjoyed Bro-son's performance.

The ending felt a little sudden to me, it seemed like something else would happen after the book part.

NickSenny responds:

We had a couple different plans for the cartoon here and there, but in the end, it was the brah himself who took control of our hands to make his true intentions known. He does not dilly-dally, his punishment is fierce, and swift... with no retribution to be foretold.

This has a really nice mood and atmosphere (the music suits it very nicely too). It gives me the same feeling as something like Godspeed You Black Emperor would.

I like the creatures and environments you made and there are some cool details here and there, like the animation on that exclamation mark at 50 seconds.

Some of my favourite moments were that lamp falling (or jumping?) down and mutating and the landscapes at 0:55 (the big waterfall next to what looks like a school) and 1:08 (with that orange construction plastic stuff).

You have a pretty nice speaking voice too :)

I think the least interesting part for me was the beggining, but the voiceover with that reverb effect in that part is nice.

Curtains-Joe responds:

The voice was @aeonwaryk I added him as a co-author but he hasn't accepted it yet

Really liked the visuals but the song wasn't very nice to listen to, although it felt strangely fitting at some points.

Right click and press rewind, then press play. Repeat multiple times for improved music.

Little-Rena responds:

Aw piss, I forgot to put in the code to disable right click! You got me this time, but next time, you won't be so lucky!

Pretty fun. The ghosts aren't great at cornering you and you can basically hide forever in the task rooms but it still took me a few lives to even beat it once.

A little problem was that sometimes the ghosts would leave the center room through the sides, also, idk if you intended for the menu to be navigated with the arrow keys but it didn't work for me, and I had to use the mouse.

joker1313 responds:

Thanks for your feedback will fix this issue soon.

Overall the game is a bit boring when you have only one ball, but it gets better once you have 2 or 3.

It's very hard to lose, since you only need to keep one ball in the field, making it so you can just focus on the newest ball which will be the slowest. Maybe a lives system would work better?

A few issues I ran into:
-Paddle size doesn't reset on restart, making you have to reset the page.
-If you move your mouse through the center of the circle, you can make the paddle teleport from one end to the other, which is pretty easy to abuse.
-If you hit a ball just as it's about to leave the circle, the paddle hits it twice.
-I managed to rescue a ball just as it was leaving through the top of the circle, but the game played the sound effect and deleted it.

The graphics work fine and the sound effects are pretty nice.

Short-Field-Games responds:

Thanks for the feecback!

A lives system is in planning.

-The paddle size issue is a problem of us forgetting to reset the variable, we can fix it with 1 line of code and we will make sure to fix it in the next update.
-The teleporting thing is put in on purpose, because when we tried to smooth out the movement it made the game feel sluggish and unresponsive, but we might try and re-add it with some better code.
-The double hitting problem is a problem with our collision setup, and is something we found in testing just before we released the game. It should be fixed when we re-write the collision setup in the next update.
-The rescued ball situation is because we forgot to disable the rest of the ball's code when it was destroyed, this will also be fixed in the next update.

Wow, thank you! Really like the otherworldly theme!

carboluka responds:

Glad to live up to the standards!

I think the piano could use a little more variation, especially rythmically, since it does the same 1-123 type melody for half the song. The other instruments are well done though.

This one feels a bit like a good song and a bad one taped together, I really like the slow parts with the nice rythm and the transition into them with that tempo change is great is great (like at 1:20), but I feel like the faster parts break the mood of the song a bit.

The main problem for me is the percussion, the way it repeats the same sound so quickly really makes it stand out that it's a drum machine and not a real instrument, plus I don't like the melody on top too much.

Overall the idea of changing between the parts is nice though, and I think it might be interesting to change up the background synth in those parts to make them more distinct. I will also say the instruments you chose all work pretty well together.

Btw, I noticed you used Audacity for this, I assume it was for the fade in and out, but you can actually do that more easily if you add a modulator channel in beepbox, plus it lets you do a lot of other cool stuff.

Awesome entry! Sad to hear you have to stop, your giant murals are really a staple of the big Newgrounds events, I hope you can manage to stay healthy though.

Really like the tile approach, they look great and it's a good fit for a drawing like this. Your King DeDeDe sprite is very nice too.

ScepterDPinoy responds:

Thank you and Happy Pixel Day!
Healthwise I fear I might get some type of illness such as diabetes or cancer in the future but I'll my best to stay healthy as possible so I can make art again.

Awesome! Never heard about woodburning before. I like how you used the contrast between the two different textures, and I like your use of the tall format.

Esperance responds:

Thank ya! ^_________^ it's something I've only really been aware of recently so as a medium there's a lot of neat stuff to do with it and learn in

The weirdest thing is since it's heat based there's a lot of ways to interact with the wood itself. That and the pen heat is a whole thing to get used too like if fountain pens had skill cooldowns

These are great but idk why you left out Groove, that was the best one!

Jumpanaatta responds:

Oh, thanks! I didn't expect someone would remember all of them. This selection just felt coherent to me I guess... but I can still add the rest!
